Few more hours to the New Year.
Goodbye 2008, hello 2009.
Hmm. I can say I've spent more time mugging in 2008, and my efforts haven't gone to waste. So I'm in Triple, I'm taking 9 subjects, not the 5 or 6 in Sec 2. More time devoted to mugging. Then maybe more As, and my HCL. Ahh. I hate HCL. But I still have to study it.
And OAL. Helping (more like torturing) the new Sec 1s in their BURST programme. Haiz. That's a few lessons missed, but never mind. I'll find ways to catch up.
CCA. Taking over in April, that means need to improve on my standard if I want to get my desired posts. Ya, there's training on Friday, better polish up my uniform which has been rotting and collecting dust.
New year, new hopes, new aspirations. I have goals in mind. Next year I'm gonna work hard to achieve them.
Ya, so I'd better enjoy the last few hours of 2008.

My computer's gone bonkers. ARGH how am I gonna type out my Commonwealth Essay!?!?!
I'll start on Monday. I swear.
And in the midst of typing this post, my comp hanged.
Oh, and my sleeping pattern has been seriously disrupted. I sleep at 3+, wake up at 12+.
And it wasn't because of football (I couldn't sleep because of Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Villa.)
Oh well, that has to change before school starts.

Didn't get to blog yesterday as my comp crashed.

Happy birthday Denise!
OK now time to start my verbal tirade.
Woke up damn, damn late. And I was still seething over that draw,
and Howard Webb that joke of a ref... sending Adebayor off... what a joke la you botak...
That day was a "Be A Gooner, Be A Giver" charity day, and Howard Webb was a giver. Flashing cards like it was Christmas.
Look at Xabi Alonso's challenge on Cesc. That was more than just a red card. He should be banned for 4 months.
Alvaro Arbeloa and Emiliano Insua, 2 great fakers in Liverpool.
Monday also nth much... except my cousin came to stay. Then play soccer, cards, PS2, etc, etc.
Went to sleep early as there was Hike next day.
Tuesday
Reached school late. Then split into our groups.
My group has only 7 people, least among the 5 groups. And I'm not the Group IC =)
Then bus-ed to Changi Jetty. Ferry to Ubin.
After some briefing we were ready to go.
Just an overview:
- Walk to various checkpoints and complete the tasks there
- Spent half the day walking
Erm ya, nothing more to say liao. 3+ walk back to jetty, then ferry back to Changi.
Dismiss there at 4+. Dad fetched me home.

Just came back from my grandma's house.
Oh, and Arsenal got Roma. Good draw, considering the state Roma is in now.
Today go my grandma's house eat dinner.
Then in the end 8+ go downstairs play soccer. My legs are full of blisters. Yeah and playing with slippers too. Ow.
Play for around 1 hour, then go back up, rest awhile, 10+ take taxi home.
My advice:
NEVER TAKE A TAXI. Cause the prices for taking a taxi is so high until it costs $8.00 back home, when it could have been $5?
What can I do with $3?
Reach home liao go online, discuss cheer with Zhi Jie.
And we thought of 1 already. =)
Tomorrow need go 拜 my ahma, who passed away 1 year+ ago.
Haiz so I need to sleep early. But I can't sleep.

6 days to Christmas... dunno why I'm not looking forward to Christmas this year...
Had BK again today... then the school quite crowded with next year's Sec 1s.
Sadly I see most of them quite short de (no I'm not discriminating)... Lol and I'm wondering what's happening to this generation of kids...
And there's an extra training on December 31! I DON'T WANNA GO =(
OK then after BK went to bookshop buy books. Then I realised: I GOT NOT ENOUGH MONEY!!
Anyways just go look around. And I found out History Elective textbook out of stock, lol. Next year dun need study liao.
And the English books is clearly scam people's money, got 4 books to buy, 1 book per term, and 1 book costs $10++.
Bloody hell. But anyway I'm going to get them tomorrow.
Then go eat lunch. Haiz I've been eating economic rice for the past 3-4 Fridays... at least I learnt to suppress my urge for Macs or LJS. Eat then talk cock until around 2.45, then 88-ed home.

CC test - SCREWED. Like many of my squadmates.
But I feel confident for Theory. At least the paper wasn't a killer =D
Then Practical.
Knots. I only tied 7 of 9. And 1 of them is wrong (Bowline I think).
Advanced knots. 1 of 3. Thats a fail.
Lashings. OK I tied all 3 in about 6+ minutes bah, BUT w/o tension OMG.
Then my Gyn lashing got pulled out by sirs. -.-
Last station - Tent Pitching. I wasn't expecting that.
I only knew pegging. Screwed up the bowline and the tent guy loop.
Then I saw my bro, so confident and getting the job done, I feel so demoralised.
I won't promote. Just a stoning parade for me next year. My bro will probably get his 3 stripes. And yeah,

Damn my computer is pretty screwed right now. Either it wouldn't turn on or the whole computer will hang when I'm using. At least nothing's wrong with it at the moment.
Hope my comp doesnt go bonkers these few days. Best it doesnt even auto-crash at all. I don't want to waste money fixing a computer. I can always use my bro's.
And I'm screwed at Campcraft. I can't remember a shit on tent-pitching. I don't understand anything on pressure lamps cause the diagrams are so bloody misleading. AND I FORGOT HOW TO TIE A TIMBER HITCH. Thank God my bro taught me how =D
And in the midst of typing this post, my computer crashed AGAIN.

I've just found out, I've completely wasted my holidays.
I haven't even started doing my Commonwealth Essay. But who would be so diligent?
Oh and Campcraft test in 3 days. Better not disappoint myself.
I could still remember that empty, sinking feeling when I screwed up my Theory paper and Practical test...
Well, these 3 days gotta mug hard and practice tying knots/lashings (oh man I hate tying knots).
Or I'll be eating Maggi Mee after next year's Muster Parade.
And I've just learnt:
My bro requires 10 mins to take antibiotics. OK and he looks abit weird with swollen jaws.
I've decided, I'm not going for class gathering. Cause of BK =(

Holidays are boring!!
Hope school starts soon.
Every week, BK training twice, then at home slack about use com or lie on the bed and do nothing.
Weekends watch football at night. So plain.
Holidays ending in 3 weeks. On the other hand I don't really want holidays to end so soon.
Oh and my skin is peeling like some mad dog cause of sunburn. I need water.
Today about to watch Arsenal game, then about 7.30 like that my TV screen went blank.
My dad called the technician. Then we found out the box got prob. Have to change.
So my dad drove to VivoCity (nearest place) just to have the box replaced. I went with him.
Then come home 9+, game started liao.
When my dad fixed up everything, one message appeared saying that smart card have to be validated.
And "please wait for up to 30 minutes." I was like WTFH but at least it took about 10 minutes.
Then watch game.
1-1 all the way, haiz, 2 more points dropped, then 99% chance Villa will leapfrog us to 4th... Haiz...
Hope Liverpool slip up, half-time they 2-2 against Hull, happy nightmares Liverpool fans!
Oh, and I'm still in the midst of deciding should I go for class gathering.

After BK go eat lunch, then go cousin's house =DD
MRT-ed to Tiong Bahru, then walk to his house.
First thing, play soccer, downstairs his house. Very long never play rusted liao.
Play until 4+. Go back up. Then bathe. And spam Tekken =)

Yeah back from camp!!! =D
Cause I experienced some bit of hell there. I'm glad to reach home.
Day 1
Arrived in school at 7.30. Then wait dunno how long before splitting into our groups.
I was in Group 3. PPl in my group are:
Aloysius (2-1), Zhong Zhen (2-2), Hexuan, Toh Hong (2-3), me (2-4), Dylan, Yi Shen, Dong Hong (2-5), Daryl Ong, Marcus Tan (2-6), Gabriel Lee and Shawn Yee (2-7).
12 in all.
So first was to plan a route to Changi after we were given maps.
Plan until dunno when then set off.
Teacher-in-charge of my group is Mr Goh Yong Hang. Awwwwwwwwwwww.
Sec 3 IC is Li Ren from Scouts.
So set off. First thing to do is find barber shop to cut Aloysius' long hair.
Then have to find 3 heritage trees located at dunno where. All at the east side of Singapore, along the journey to Changi.
Since we dunno the location of the trees, we go Bishan Library and use comp to find,
cause some people willing to let us use the comp. But still clueless about the trees. Waste $0.36.
So we go Bishan MRT Station control room ask for help. Only managed to find location of 2 trees.
Then set off for Changi, carrying our 3 kg backpacks.
Walk to Serangoon, then want walk to Kovan but GYH dun let WTH. So we take another route to Hougang.
Halfway got stuck at Serangoon, dunno where go. So go ask ppl lor.
And GYH ordered us to backtrack 1 km.
Then go some hawker centre have lunch. Eat chicken rice. Then set off again.
Walk walk walk from Serangoon --- Hougang --- Eunos --- Kaki Bukit --- Marine Parade.
Then go East Coast is to find 1 of the 3 lost trees. But cannot find, and wasted ALOT of time trying to find 1 tree.
By then it was raining, and 5.30 or so, so had to quickly walk to campsite instead.
Walk walk walk until about 7+ I think, stuck at East Coast. And still raining.
So... hire a bus to go to campsite. Lol. 2 other groups reach there liao, and our group and GKY's group went there by bus.
Reach campsite 8+ liao, have dinner, then reflections and debrief, then supper, then lights out.
Not a good night's sleep cause every 15-30 mins or so an aeroplane will fly past the campsite and the
engine super noisy, especially SIA planes. Planes don't make good alarms you know.
Day 2
Wake up at 5.50 (actually is around 4+ cos PZ sms me say that Arsenal lose Burnley 2-0)
WTH!! Why we so inconsistent... aiya whatever.
Then wash up, fall in at 6.15.
Morning PT. 20 each of push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks. Then run dunno how long.
Then breakfast. After that kayaking.
We kayaked to East Coast. The journey quite OK, and Daryl and Toh Hong capsized lol.
Quite easy cos current was aiding us.
Had lunch there (and I dropped my chicken wing. Waste.)
Then kayak back.
Kayaking back was hell, cos we were not supposed to stop.
Rained a little too.
About reaching campsite liao GKY confiscated our paddles (Gabriel and mine).
So kayak back using our hands. Uber tiring.
Muscles burning. And sunburn (forgot to bring sunblock).
Then bathe.
After bathe go plan next year's Sec 1 and Sec 2 camp,
then dinner.
Next we had to present group cheer and skit.
Then reflections. Debrief. Sleep @ 11+.
Had a very good sleep cos was very tired.
Day 3
Wake up, wash-up, Morining PT. Run until dunno when see alot of colours, so fall out.
Breakfast. Then belaying.
Then tried challenge pole. Injured my groin. Damn pain.
Haha dun need celebrate father's day liao lol.
Also cut my little finger. Bleed like siao. So go wash and plaster it.
Then lunch. That was the last thing we did at the campsite.
After that bus back to Cat High! =)
Reach school liao dismiss. By then was 1+, so it wasn't the 7+ which was stated =)
Reach home unpack stuff, use com awhile, then sleep.
Through this camp learnt quite alot of leadership stuff, and being a leader is not easy.
Gotta prepare for next year, less than 1 month of holidays left.
At least 3 days and 2 nights of hell has passed.

OAL Camp tomorrow.
2 December 0730 hrs - 4 December 1900 hrs.
That's much longer than Annual Camp. Well by about 8 hrs or so.
Not packed my bag yet, but I have everything ready for packing.
I have decided to smuggle my handphone and wallet. =D
My bag will DEFINITELY be lighter than that during Annual Camp.
At least no such thing as Bag Check in OAL Camp (or so I hope).
Walking to Changi from Catholic High will kill half of me.
I'll be 99% dead the second day during kayaking (if we have to use our hands).
99.9% dead when the camp ends.
And there's BK training THE NEXT DAY after the camp. That's when I'll die of fatigue.
Never mind. I just hope for a safe journey there and back.
Hope the camp is fun. And NOT SO TIRING.
After the OAL Camp I can celebrate the fact that there are NO MORE CAMPS till the new year =)
And my holiday schedule is less jam-packed =DD
Anyways, gonna spend my next 3 days and 2 nights @ Changi.

Ahaha.
We. Beat. Chelsea. Van Persie with his double.
I don't care if you guys say van Persie's first goal was offside. We dominated the second half and won.
We deserved the victory at Stamford Bridge.
Goal of the game has to go to Johan Djourou though, his nice own goal -.-
Next up we shall beat Liverpool. I'm sure of that =)
